1. Aquaria KLCC

situated on the concourse level of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, is a world-class aquarium that’s home to over 5000 exhibits of freshwater and marine life such as tiger sharks, sea snakes, blue rays, bright coral fish, and seahorse across a sprawling 60,000 square-foot space.

2. Petrosains Discovery Centre

is a 7,000sqm interactive science discovery centre located on the fourth floor of the Petronas Twin Towers. Good for hours of fun, the spacious complex is largely dedicated to the field of petroleum science and presents science and technology in a fun and entertaining way.

3. Sunway Lagoon Theme Park

is more than a water theme park. The list of fun attractions at this 80-acre park in Petaling Jaya is undoubtedly extensive and includes dizzying and thrilling water slides, a tranquil manmade ‘river’ ride, surf beach, wave pool, 360° revolving pirate ship and much more.

4. Kidzania

is an edutainment centre designed to prepare kids for the workplace. 5. Kuala Lumpur National Zoo & Aquarium

spanning over 110 acres around a central lake, houses 5137 specimens from 476 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish from Asia and Africa. Also known as the Zoo Negara, the zoo is located 13km northeast of Kuala Lumpur beyond Jalan Tun Razak along Jalan Ulu Klang.

6. Skytrex Adventure

7. Berjaya Times Square Theme Park

situated within Berjaya Times Square shopping mall, is largest indoor theme park in Kuala Lumpur. It is laid out in classic amusement park style and divided into two zones: one for adults and one for kids. If you are in the mood for a hair-raising roller coaster experience, then thrilling rides such as the 800-metre long Supersonic Odyssey roller coaster and DNA Mixer come highly recommended.

8. i-City Theme Park

also known as the City of Digital Lights, is a theme park in Shah Alam best known for its nightly colourful display of LED-lit attractions. It is home to a range of exciting and family-friendly activities such as a water park, 3D museum and snow park. One of i-City Theme Park’s major highlights is a ‘forest’ of artificial maple and pine trees with branches that are illuminated with LED lights.

9. Farm in the City

is the place for visitors with children who want to enjoy a non-traditional zoo experience. Located out in Seri Kembangan (along the Damansara Puchong highway), this massive venue is divided into several sections including a reptile corner, koi pond and bird aviary. There is also a turtle and tortoise section that’s home to about five different types of hard-shelled reptiles while the snake sanctuary has rows of slithering reptiles housed in tanks.

10. The National Science Centre

perched atop a tranquil hill in Kuala Lumpur, is a crowd puller with its vivacious, educational and just plain fun hands-on science and technology exhibits. Shaped like a futuristic green mosque topped off with a large dome, it is divided into several sections with exhibits covering the scope of scientific knowledge.
